  4. "What happens when it fails?" Listen for specifics about error handling, retry logic, and escalation paths. Handwaving is a warning sign.
  5. "Can I talk to a customer who's been using it in production for 6+ months?" Agent washing falls apart over time. The agents that work have references who can speak to sustained performance.
