v4.0.3: Talk to Anyone Without Leaving the Page, the Desktop App Gets Tabs, and Calls Ring Like a Phone
You are on an employee's chat, a colleague asks you something, and you need a quick word with a different AI employee. Until now that meant three page changes and losing your place. In v4.0.3, every conversation opens in a small window at the bottom of the screen, right where you are. The desktop app gets browser-style tabs and rings like a phone, Italian joins the interface, and admins get a switch to turn team chat off entirely.
Every Conversation in a Window Beside the Sidebar
The Team panel now lives at the bottom of the sidebar, on the dashboard and in every chat. You see who is around at a glance, with your unread count next to "Team". Click it and it unfolds: start a new conversation with one or several people (and AI employees), open a group conversation, or find anyone online or offline and write to them or call them.
Writing to someone opens the conversation in a window beside the sidebar, up to four side by side. Each window can be minimised, enlarged or closed, and comes back after a reload. These are not cut-down previews: a window is the whole conversation, with reactions, replies, threads, translation, forwarding, pinned messages, search, an AI summary, adding people, files and calls, groups included.
When windows are open on an employee's chat, the message box moves up slightly so nothing gets covered, and moves back down when the last window closes. On a phone, the same Team panel sits in the sidebar and conversations open full screen.
Because the panel and the windows now do everything, the separate Messages and Team pages are gone, along with the prompt rail on the right of the chat.
Talk to an AI Employee Without Leaving the Page
Every employee card on the dashboard has a new button that opens that employee's real chat in one of those windows. It is the same session as its full chat page: anything you say in the window is in its chat, and the other way round, with thinking, tools, files, voice and model choice all there. Ask your executive assistant a quick question while you watch the dashboard, and the answer is waiting in the full chat later too.
Turn Team Messages and Calls Off
Not every team wants a chat app. Admin Settings has a new card, "Team messages and calls", on by default. Switch it off and messaging, team calls and the status menu disappear for everyone, instantly, in every open tab. Meetings still work: teammates are simply invited by email, like guests. Conversations are kept and come back if you switch it on again. Only the instance owner and admins can change it.
The Desktop App Gets Tabs, and Rings Like a Phone
The Windows and macOS desktop app now has a tab bar. The Dashboard tab is always there, and each employee chat opens in its own tab, or brings back the one already open. Close tabs with the cross or a middle click, and use the familiar shortcuts: Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Shift+Tab, Ctrl+W and Ctrl+1 to 9 (Cmd on macOS).
Calls and meetings open in a dedicated meeting tab, never in your browser and never in place of the Dashboard. The tab closes on its own when the meeting ends.
Incoming calls now behave like a phone. A notification stays on screen while it rings, with Join and Decline buttons, and the app comes to the front on the ringing call, even from the tray. It disappears when the call is answered elsewhere, missed or cancelled. Message notifications close by themselves after a few seconds, and a click takes you to the right tab. "Notifications on this device" now works in the app, and the tray has a "Test notifications" option.
When you call a colleague from the web app, you hear a short original tune while it rings, and a chime when they pick up.
For white-label instances, the desktop app now carries your brand everywhere: sign-in page, window titles, taskbar and tray icons, colours, menus and notifications. For companies that put their instance behind Cloudflare Access, the app detects the access check by itself and opens its sign-in in an app window, with nothing to configure.
The macOS app is now level with Windows, and Macs on older versions update themselves.
Italian Joins the Interface
"Italiano" is now in the language picker, bringing Geta.Team to eleven interface languages. That covers the whole app, system and meeting emails, push notifications, the hire catalogue and the conversation starters. A browser set to Italian opens the app in Italian.
Invite an Admin, and Share Employees in the Same Step
The invitation form has a new "Administrator" switch (for admins only), so the person signs up as a full admin. You can also pick which employees to share with them: they appear in the new user's dashboard as soon as the account exists, with no second round of setup.
For Partners and Self-Hosted Instances
Resellers setting up an instance for a client no longer have to enter the client's Gemini key on day one. A "Configure it later" button opens the app, and the key can be added later in Settings > API Keys by the owner, an admin or anyone allowed to manage connectors. Until it is saved, employees cannot be created, and the dashboard says so clearly.
For partner workspaces, the Geta.Team platform can now apply the reseller's white label before any AI is connected, create the client's admin invitation link, and install a pre-trained model employee automatically. Employee archives can now be up to 128 MB.
Also in This Release
- No more sign-in every 7 days on mobile. The mobile app's session is now renewed automatically, with no app update needed.
- Whose subscription is it? The Claude and Codex cards in Usage Overview show the email of the account they belong to (hidden in white-label mode).
- Chrome extension. Scripts now run on sites with strict security policies, such as Instagram and Reddit, and the sign-in no longer prefills an instance address.
- Desktop fixes. No more black screen after a call, no more "Not authenticated yet" behind Cloudflare Access, and update errors fit on one line.
- The profile menu now opens above the Team panel instead of underneath it.
Why This Matters
Work happens across people and AI employees at the same time, and switching pages to move between them was the friction. v4.0.3 keeps every conversation one click from wherever you are, makes the desktop app feel like a proper workspace, and gives admins control over how much "chat" their team actually wants.
