v4.0.7: Your AI Employee Can Now Learn Your Job by Watching You Work, and Delegate Across Your Whole Team
Most of what you do at work has never been written down. There is no manual for how you reconcile invoices, chase a late supplier or prepare the Monday report. It lives in your head and in your clicks. That has always been the hardest part of handing work to anyone, human or AI: before they can do the job, someone has to explain it.
v4.0.7 takes a different approach. Your AI employee can now learn your job by watching you do it.
Learning Mode: your employee watches, writes the process down, then takes it over
Open an employee's chat and turn on Learning mode from the sidebar. The employee then observes how you work on your computer (through the Geta.Team desktop app) and in Chrome (through the extension), and turns what it sees into process sheets: step-by-step descriptions of how each task is done, precise enough to run.
It starts the way a good new hire would, by asking questions. On the first start, one short form asks what your job is, which tasks it should learn first, which apps you use for them, and what it must never look at. Those tasks get their sheets first. It then helps you set up whatever is missing, from installing the desktop app to pairing the extension, starting from the exact step you are on. Observation only begins once it knows what to learn and a device is connected.
From there, at a rhythm you choose (every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes), the employee receives what it observed and analyses it right in the chat, where you can watch it work. Once a day, if anything happened, it reviews the whole day. And when you want an analysis straight away, there is an Analyze now button.
Over time, the sheets stop being descriptions and become something the employee can actually do:
- Sheets checked against real runs. Every time it sees you repeat a process it already knows, it compares what you did with the sheet, step by step, and records how closely they match. A sheet's readiness grows with those checks.
- A process map for each task. Every sheet opens with the apps the process goes through, in order, how many steps each takes and where the time goes. The slowest part stands out, so you can see where an improvement would actually matter.
- Suggestions, never judgement. The employee looks at waiting times, switching between apps, copying data from one tool to another and frequent corrections to suggest improvements. It is there to make the work easier, not to grade the person doing it.
- Then it does the job. Ask it in the chat and it runs a sheet using its browser and computer control, checking each step as it goes. Steps you marked as needing a human always stop for your approval, with Approve and Cancel buttons. A web page or a document can never start a run on its own.
The learning report: everything it knows, in one private website
On the first start, the employee creates a password-protected website, written in the language you speak with it. It holds your processes and their sheets, a timeline of the day, an activity view with active, idle and paused time, the screenshots it based its analysis on, ideas for improvement, and questions it has for you. You answer those questions directly in the report, and your answer reaches the employee instantly. If none of its suggested answers fits, choose "Other" and type your own.
The report updates live while you have it open, stays available when Learning mode is off, has a readable address, and can be downloaded as a PDF or as Markdown. It also serves as the employee's reference when it does the work itself.
Privacy is built in from the first click
Being watched while you work is a big ask, so we treated it that way:
- Clear consent first. Before the first start, a full explanation of what is recorded, what never is, where the data goes and how to pause, stop or withdraw must be accepted. If that text ever changes, you are asked again. Withdrawing consent stops everything at once.
- Sensitive fields are never captured. Passwords, card numbers, codes and IBANs never have their value recorded and are blacked out on every screenshot before it leaves your computer. Copy and paste are counted, never read.
- Protected categories, never observed. Password managers are always excluded. Banks and payments, taxes and administration, and health services are excluded by default, covering the main services of every country in our 11 languages. You can turn a category back on (an accountant who works inside a banking site, for example) and add your own sites and apps to a "Never observed" list.
- You stay in control. A banner on top of the chat shows when the employee is getting ready, observing or paused, with Pause, Resume, Stop and Report always to hand. The employee can also start, pause or stop Learning mode when you ask it in the chat. Delete what was observed erases every action, typed value and screenshot, and optionally the report too.
Learning in Chrome works everywhere the extension does. Learning from your other desktop apps is Windows only for now, and the employee will tell you so if you are on a Mac.
Employees can now delegate across your whole team
Until now, an employee could only hand tasks to colleagues owned by the same person. Admins now choose how far delegation reaches, in Admin Settings: Strict (the default, same as before), Shared (also the employees other people have shared with you) or Everyone on the instance. A colleague belonging to someone else is clearly marked, and the employee receiving the task is reminded that the sender cannot read its files and must not be given anything private.
Change your account email in two clicks
In My Profile, click Change next to your email, enter the new address and your password, and confirm from the link we send you. Everything follows automatically: your employees' instructions, the senders and recipients they are allowed to use, and your open sessions, with no need to sign in again. The confirmation page asks for a click, so an email security scanner that opens links can never confirm on your behalf.
WhatsApp groups get calmer
An employee in a WhatsApp group no longer reacts to every message. By default, it now wakes up only when someone mentions it, replies to one of its messages or uses its first name, and it catches up on everything said since it last spoke. Prefer it to follow the whole conversation? Choose "Every message, grouped" and it reads new messages in batches after a quiet minute, instead of one by one. Groups where it can only read never wake it at all. You will find the setting under Settings > Connectors > WhatsApp.
Also in this release
- Custom email domains connect more reliably. If you set up your own email domain before its DNS was ready, your connections to Google, Microsoft, Telegram and phone providers now keep working, and Settings > Email tells you exactly what is still missing.
- Phone calls that don't connect are now explained. Busy, no answer or declined: the employee is told straight away, shows a "Call not connected" badge with the reason, and explains it to you.
- SIP lines now place outgoing calls with the right caller number, so operators accept them.
- Telegram bots now show the real reason when a connection can't be completed, instead of appearing connected.
Your AI employees already remember how you like things done. With v4.0.7, they can start learning how you do them.
