v4.0.2: Your Employee Books the Meeting, Gmail Sends Rich Emails and Forwards, and Skills Tell You When They Need an Update

"Set up a call with Dana and Marc on Thursday afternoon, 30 minutes, about the Q4 plan." Until now, an AI employee given that request would try the meeting form in the browser and end up asking you to do it yourself. In v4.0.2 it just sets up the meeting. This release also teaches Gmail employees to send properly formatted emails and forward messages, and tells you when an employee's skills have an update waiting.

Your Employee Can Now Set Up the Meeting

The new gat-meetings skill lets an employee plan a Geta.Team meeting for you, or start one right away. It invites team members and outside guests by email, and it can reschedule the meeting, add people or cancel it later.

The meeting belongs to you, exactly as if you had created it yourself, with the same invitation emails, calendar event and link. Times are worked out in your own time zone, summer time included, so "Thursday at 3" means your Thursday at 3.

In the Geta.Team chat, the employee shows you a meeting form already filled in with what it knows: title, date, time, duration, attendees and agenda. Check it and create the meeting in one click. On WhatsApp, Telegram and other channels, it simply asks for whatever is missing and handles the rest. If your instance doesn't send email, the employee gets a personal link for each guest and sends the links itself.

New employees come with the skill. Existing employees can add it from Available Skills, or pick it up with a skills update (see below).

Gmail: Rich Emails and a Real Forward

Employees that work in Gmail can now send formatted HTML emails, with headings, bold, lists, links and tables, when sending new mail, replying or saving a draft. A plain-text version is included automatically, so the email reads well in any mail client.

They can also forward, just like Gmail's own Forward button. The original message appears under the employee's note, with its header, formatting and attachments, and the employee can add more files or save the forward as a draft for you to check first.

This one came straight from a customer request, and it was tested end to end on a real Gmail account before shipping.

Know When Your Employee's Skills Have an Update

Skills improve all the time, through new commands, fixes and new skills in the catalogue. Until now there was no easy way to tell whether an employee had the latest versions.

When you open an employee, Geta.Team now checks its skills against the current release. If anything is new or updated, a small banner tells you how many (hover to see which) and offers an Update button, which works just like the resync in the skills panel. Choose "Later" and the banner only comes back when something else changes. Only the employee's owner and instance admins see it.

White Label, All the Way Through

White-label instances now carry their own brand everywhere. Invitation emails, password resets and sign-in codes show your brand name, logo and main colour, not only your name in the subject line. About thirty more places in the interface now use your instance's name, in all ten languages, including connector setup steps, admin panels, call notifications and the "new version" banner.

Also in This Release

  • Wide images open in full. A screenshot opened in an employee's chat is no longer partly hidden behind the sidebar.
  • Windows opened from side panels show in full. Editing a Kanban card, for example, no longer cuts off its left edge when a side panel is open.

Why This Matters

Small releases like this one remove small frustrations. "Book the meeting" should mean the meeting gets booked, "forward this to the accountant" should forward it with the attachments, and you shouldn't have to wonder whether your employee is running the latest skills. In v4.0.2, all three just happen.
